Well I started bleeding, slight, bright red on the 3rd at 6pm. I had taken down our Christmas tree and moved the little loveseat and an old radio out of the room were the baby will be. About an hour later I started bleeding, I think I caused the abruption, I should know that being my 7th pregnancy the uterus will not be as strong.
I have a SCH (subchronic hematoma) due to the abruption. A SCH is a bruise, basically, left from the placenta after tearing away from the uterine wall. I had this with Hailey except it was by the baby and was much bigger, needing bedrest for 11 weeks until it absovled into the body.
They also wanted to check the cervix, having a leep in June 04 they are worried my cervix might be incompentent. Well it measured in at 4.24 cm and 4.5 to 5 cm in normal, so we are still in no need of a cerclage, unless it gets down to 2.5 or less they will reconsider, good news!
The most concerning thing at this moment is between Hailey's birth and now I have developed a uterine fibroid tumor(it is noncancerous). Uterine fibroids are common, but they are known to get larger during pregnancy and can cause miscarriages. It also can cause problems for the baby, malnutrition, growth retardation and the most severe the baby can be deformed due to being cramped against the tumor and not being able to move about freely. Oh and if it blocks the cervix I will need a c-section, something that I do not want, but if I have to I will do it in strides! I have another U/S scheduled Wednesday the 11th, at 12:30 to evaluate where the placenta has attached. Pray that the baby is safely away from it by then, as of the last U/S, the baby was laying on it!
I also have a partial placenta previa, but they feel confident it will move upward as the uterus expands.
I say this prayer many times daily and during the night, God I know it is your will to be done, I pray that you will hold me through this very trying time and just be with me as everything unfolds, In Jesus name, Amen!
Pray for us please! As I am on modified bedrest, aka shower, make meals (in under 20 min), go to the bathroom, and sit, sit, lay, lay keep as much pressure off of the uterus as possible. No lifting of the children or anything of much weight, a gallon of milk at most. The Dr.'s exact words were the 9, 7 and 6 year old can pretty much handle themselves for a while. Don't pick up even the two year old! Feet up and push fluids. Stay down as much as you can! No strenuous house cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, showers, dishes, etc... Let the baby have all of my energy and nutrients due to the fibroid. Prayers, prayers, prayers!
Love,
Susan
PS I believe that it is a BOY!!!
